May 21 – West Phoenix Transportation Projects

West Phoenix is entering one of the largest transportation and infrastructure investment periods it has seen in decades.
Several major projects are being planned or developed west of I-17 that could impact traffic, construction, commutes, street access, transit options, and neighborhood connectivity in the years ahead, including:
- Phoenix Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) – 35th Avenue from Dunlap Avenue to Van Buren Street; Van Buren Street from 35th Avenue to Central Avenue
- Valley Metro Light Rail West Phoenix Extension – Indian School Road from Central Avenue to 75th Avenue
- Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Grand-35 Project – Intersection of US 60 (Grand Avenue), Indian School Road and 35th Avenue
- City of Phoenix 35th Avenue Safety Corridor Project – 35th Avenue from Interstate 10 (I-10) to Camelback Road
- City of Phoenix Indian School Road Safety Corridor – Indian School Road from 91st Avenue to 39th Avenue
